Members of the Guna community play a key role in the service aboard our sailboats and catamarans in San Blas. They not only share their sailing skills and deep knowledge of the waters of the San Blas archipelago, but also valuable knowledge about their culture, traditions and way of life.

They guide visitors through the natural wonders of the archipelago while sharing stories and legends that are part of its living cultural heritage.

From welcoming passengers to preparing traditional Guna meals, their presence is an integral part of the San Blas sailing experience. Guna hospitality is renowned for its generosity and friendliness, and is reflected in every detail of our onboard services.

Amazing cook, skilled captain and impressive spear fisherman. Captain Yuri will show you the best of his Guna culture and his homeland. He is a versatile cook who has adapted traditional Guna recipes with international influences.

Capitán Osito – Catamarán Nautitech 44 «VALPAR»

Originally from the village of Narganá, where San Blas Sailing is based, Captain Osito has been working for decades aboard various sailbotas in San Blas. He is an excellent host, as well as a reliable and thorough captain.
