The high season runs from December to April and coincides with the presence of the trade winds (north/east wind). During this period constant winds, clear skies and little or no rain are enjoyed.
Although underwater visibility is not the best and there is some current, this is the ideal season for those who love authentic sailing, perfect for those looking for a more dynamic sailing experience in San Blas.
Low Season: Smooth Sailing and Better Visibility
The rest of the year, the winds are milder and there are isolated showers, generally brief and without major impact on the experience. In return, underwater visibility improves considerably, allowing you to explore the outside of the coral reefs, enjoy more light and admire spectacular sunsets.
This is the best season for exploring coral reefs and marine fauna, as well as offering more solitary anchorages, since it corresponds to the low season in San Blas.
Climate and Temperature in San Blas
Temperatures vary slightly throughout the year. The average daytime temperature ranges from 27 °C to 35 °C (82 °F to 95 °F), while the sea temperature stays between 25 °C and 27 °C (77 °F to 82 °F), ideal for swimming, diving and snorkeling.

No mandatory vaccinations are required for travel to Panama City and the San Blas region. However, it is recommended to consult with the corresponding health authorities before leaving your country.
